Telašćica Bay is located in the central part of the eastern coast of the Adriatic Sea, in the southeastern part of the island of Dugi otok. Thanks to its outstanding beauty, richness and significance, this bay, surrounded by 13 islands and islets, and has six islets within the cove, was proclaimed the 1988 Nature Park. The protected area was granted in 1980 thanks to its extremely valuable plant and animal world, geological and geomorphological phenomena, valuable seabed communities and an interesting archaeological heritage.
